The COVID pandemic brought with it a revolution in online streaming technology and opportunities. Live streaming has become ubiquitous in the music community.
Live streaming is not the same as traditional live performance. Streaming brings with it a host of technical challenges that most musicians – particularly acoustic musicians – are not equipped to handle. I’m here to help.
Many folks struggle with Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and Streamlabs OBS. That’s not surprising. Both programs are not very intuitive. They have many settings, especially for audio – the most important part of your show! OBS assumes that users have a certain amount of technical knowledge that they probably don’t have. But I do.
If you’ve already gone through hours of tutorials and are still stuck – I can help.
I will break things down for you based on the gear you have available right now, and answer your questions specific to your needs. Every situation is different, but I will do my best to get you up and running and point you to additional resources that can help.
How it works:
Schedule a 30 min FREE Zoom consult to discuss your needs.
From there, we’ll come up with a plan to get you where you want to go. With some planning, I can assist with live stream events (with or without ticketing), from just about any location. If you need a suitable location from which to stream, I have relationships with several studios.
Note: If we need to examine your computer setup, it helps tremendously if you know how to share your screen (to see your settings) and/or take screen shots.
PS: Don’t buy any gear or software until talking with me! I can save you money, time, and frustration by reviewing your needs first!
