Technical Director
RiverArts – Hastings-on-Hudson, NY
September 2020 to October 2020
RiverArts first asked for a consult on a Zoom theatre performance, but then later brought me on as Technical Director for the production of Six Feet by Melanie Hoopes. As Technical Director, I served as host and technical advisor for all Zoom Webinar rehearsals, mentored staff on best practices for the performance, worked with our composer and video editors, and developed a run of show document. A major focus of my role was coaching actors on how to get the best audio performance from their systems and manage recordings of the rehearsal and performance. This was a highly collaborative role, also designed to mentor their assistant technical person.
We had a successful performance attended by approximately 280 people online. This was a short-term
assignment, but I look forward to the possibility of future projects with this group.
